Harriet's journey began at Deloitte Australia, where she specialised in Defence portfolio projects as a Senior Consultant. Her career also spans roles as a Data Scientist at the University of Sydney and as Senior Delivery Lead at a tech education start-up in New York City. She returned to Canberra to work for the Australian Government, where she served at the intersection of data science, cyber security, and national security, eventually becoming an acting Tech Director.
She holds a degree in Physics and Bio-anthropology, along with a Master's in Cyber Security. In 2021 she commenced a PhD in Machine Learning Security. This is where she encountered AI Security and adversarial machine learning for the first time.
Harriet founded Mileva Security Labs, driven by her mission to raise awareness about AI system vulnerabilities and provide solutions to secure them. Her work ensures that organisations are equipped to defend against threats and protect their AI systems from disruption and compromise.

Tania Sadhani is an AI security researcher with Mileva Security Labs. Drawn to the critical technologies world and the disruptive potential they bring, she has spent over 3 years working in the space for the public service. Her past work ranges from doing data science in cyber security, researching emerging machine learning vulnerabilities and developing policy to support Australia’s quantum technology ecosystem. She is currently continuing her studies at the Australian National University as an honours student focusing on explainable AI, as a key research area under the broader responsible AI efforts.
Miranda Riddell is an AI vulnerability researcher and trainer with Mileva Security Labs, poking around at the boundaries of AI systems, developing emerging adversary techniques, and educating on AI security. Beginning her technical career at Defence, Miranda actively contributed to the Cyber Hygiene Improvement Programs (CHIPs) Team within the Australian Cyber Security Center (ACSC) whilst studying at the Australian National University (ANU). Now, Miranda is also Manager and Cyber Security Consultant at Malware Security, where she leads a team of offensive security professionals in conducting penetration testing engagements for Australian Government, critical infrastructure and private industry.
Based in Argentina, Cintia holds a degree in advertising and journalism and brings ten years of experience in design and communication, having worked with major clients like HSBC and Lenovo. As Mileva’s first employee, she has been pivotal in shaping and leading the company’s marketing and communication strategies. In addition to her marketing expertise, Cintia also serves as our first point of contact on client calls and is responsible for organizing our customer workshop acquisitions and scheduling. Her dedication and multifaceted skills make her an invaluable asset to the Mileva team.
Mileva Marić was Albert Einstein's first wife. She was one of the first women to graduate with a degree in Physics and Mathematics from their university in 1899. She collaborated with Einstein on his early theories. However, the extent of this collaboration was always contested and her domestic duties were prioritised over her own academic pursuits.
